Playgroups

Whether you are a first-time parent or a veteran, playgroups offer many benefits to both children and parents. Socialization is key to a child's development and simply getting out of the house, and enjoying the company of other parents who are going through the same challenging stages of parenthood as you are, can be a great morale booster! Developing new friendships is valuable for both parent and child — it's that simple!

How do you go about finding a playgroup? There are online sites where parents can connect but if you're wary of going the online route, here are some that we are currently aware of. BE sure to check out our Support Groups page, as quite a few of the parent organizations listed offer playgroups for their memebers.

If you are starting a playgroup or are a member of an existing group that would like to invite new members, be sure to send an e-mail to feedback@wnyfamilymagazine.com to let us know about your group so we can post it here.
